Instructions

Assembly and Baking

  1. Arrange 2 lbs. stew meat in a roast pan. Place the 3 stalks celery, 3 carrots, 2 potatoes, 1 chopped onion, and 1 green pepper on top.
  2. Pour 8 oz. can tomato sauce and 1 can water over all. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle 2 tsp. tapioca over the top.
  3. Do not stir. Seal the roast pan tightly with heavy foil and cook in oven at 325 degrees for 4 to 5 hours until the meat is fork-tender and vegetables are soft.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Assemble the stew ingredients in the pan up to a day in advance, cover tightly, and refrigerate until ready to bake.
