Instructions

Step 1: Preparation

  1. Prepare apple shells by scooping out fruit till wall of 8-10 green apples is 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Mix other ingredients (1-20 oz. can sweet potatoes, 1/4 cup dark Karo syrup, 1/4 cup butter, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 16 mini marshmallows, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, and 1/4 cup melted butter) and stuff 8-10 green apples generously.

Step 2: Baking

  1. Place stuffed 8-10 green apples in 350° oven.
  2. Bake 1/2 hour, till soft, but not mushy.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Apples can be hollowed and stuffed ahead of time, then refrigerated for a few hours before baking.
