Instructions

Step 1: Cooking the Base

  1. In a saucepan, combine the 3 oz chocolate, 5 tbsp powdered sugar, and 1 tbsp water.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is completely smooth.

Step 2: Finishing

  1. Stir in the 1/2 pt cream until well incorporated.
  2. Remove from heat and slowly pour the hot mixture over the 1 beaten egg yolk, whisking constantly to prevent curdling until the sauce is glossy and thickened.
