Instructions

Step 1: Make the Roux and Simmer

  1. Leave 2 tbsp. fat in skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Add 1 tbsp. flour to the skillet and cook until brown and bubbly.
  3. Gradually add 1 cup milk, followed by salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir constantly over medium-low heat until the gravy is smoothly thickened and bubbling gently.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Best served immediately, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated with a splash of milk.
