Instructions

Step 1: Making the Dressing

  1. Combine the first 7 ingredients (1 cup oil, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup red wine vinegar, 2 cloves garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp pepper, and the handwritten 1 tsp poppy seed) in a jar or container, cover, and shake well until emulsified.

Step 2: Assembling the Salad

  1. Tear the 1 large head romaine lettuce and 1 head Boston lettuce, then combine lettuce, 1 pint strawberries, 1 cup jack cheese, and 1/2 cup walnuts in a large salad bowl until thoroughly mixed.
