Instructions
Step 1: Cook and Cool
- In a medium saucepan, combine the 1 large package orange jello, 2 cups cold water, and 1 tall can crushed pineapple with its juice.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat for five minutes, stirring occasionally. Be careful to do not boil.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool completely to room temperature before proceeding.
Step 2: Assemble and Chill
- Gently fold the 8 oz Cool Whip and 1 cup chopped pecans into the cooled jello mixture until well combined and uniform in color.
- Pour the mixture into a long pyrex dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the top evenly with parmesan cheese to taste.
