Instructions

Step 1: Prep & Brown

  1. Cook 1 package (8 oz) noodles in boiling water for 20 minutes until tender, then drain.
  2. Cut 2 lbs lean pork into small pieces, roll them in flour, and brown in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown on all sides.
  3. Chop 1 green pepper and 2 medium onions.

Step 2: Assemble & Bake

  1. In a large casserole dish, combine the browned 2 lbs lean pork, cooked 1 package (8 oz) noodles, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 2 medium onions, 1/2 lb American cheese, 1 cup tomato soup, 1 cup water, and 1 cup mushrooms.
  2. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Cover and bake slowly at 300°F (150°C) for 2 hours until the pork is fork-tender and the casserole is bubbling and hot throughout.
