Instructions
Step 1: Prep and Braise
- Rub the 4-5 lbs beef brisket with 1 clove garlic and sprinkle with 1 pinch Accent seasoning.
- Line a roasting pan with heavy duty aluminum foil in the bottom.
- Sprinkle half of the 1 pkg onion soup mix and 1 pinch oregano on the foil, place the 4-5 lbs beef brisket on top, and cover with the rest of the 1 pkg onion soup mix.
- Seal tightly with the foil, cover with a lid, and bake at 325°F for 2.5 hours until fork tender.
Step 2: Finish and Serve
- Remove from oven and open the foil. Sprinkle the 1/2 cup brown sugar on top of the 4-5 lbs beef brisket.
- Rest and cool, then refrigerate overnight.
- The next day, slice the 4-5 lbs beef brisket thin, remove any excess fat, and replace in the broth without foil and cover.
- Cook about 1 hour until hot, tender, and bubbling.
💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Cook the brisket completely through the initial baking step, add the brown sugar, and refrigerate overnight before slicing and reheating the next day.
