Instructions

Step 1: Mixing and Shaping

  1. Place 1 lb or more hamburger in a bowl.
  2. Add 4 Tbl. ketsup, 1 mustard, and 1 small egg.
  3. Mix together with hands, incorporating about 5 crackers and onions if desired, adjusting amounts until you can form a loaf that holds together.

Step 2: Baking

  1. If desired, place longhorn or American cheese in the center of the loaf and fold the meat over it.
  2. Bake at 350° for 30-40 min., depending on the size and thickness of the loaf, until cooked through and browned.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: The meatloaf can be shaped and kept covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking.
