Instructions
Step 1: Simmering Meats
- Cut 1 1/2 lbs lean pork and 1 1/2 lbs beef into cubes.
- Cook in a covered dish and let simmer until it draws out juice of meat.
- Then add enough boiling water to cover and cook until nearly done.
Step 2: Adding Vegetables and Thickening
- Add 3 cups celery, 6 tablespoons black molasses, and salt to taste.
- Add 3 to 5 onions and cook all until tender, keeping it covered with water.
- Add 2 cans bean sprouts, thicken as any stew, and serve with rice.
