Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Sauce

  1. Make a spaghetti sauce by cooking the 2 cups (or more) hamburger with as needed solid pack tomatoes, as needed chopped onions, as needed minced garlic, to taste salt, and to taste pepper.
  2. Simmer until flavors are well blended. (Day before recommended).

Step 2: Prepare the Dough

  1. Follow directions on the 1 box Betty Crocker hot roll mix package to prepare the pizza dough.
  2. Let it rise in a bowl for an hour or more until puffed up.

Step 3: Assemble the Pizza

  1. Divide the dough in half to make two pizzas.
  2. Place each half on an oiled cookie sheet and flatten it out until the sheet is covered evenly.
  3. Poke the dough with a fork to make holes.
  4. Spread the 2 cups (or more) hamburger sauce over the dough.
  5. Add your desired optional toppings such as optional anchovies, optional mushrooms, and optional strips of onion.
  6. Grate the 2 round mozzarella cheeses over the top.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Place the assembled pizza in a preheated 400°F oven.
  2. Bake for 6-10 minutes until golden brown and bubbling, watching closely.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: The sauce can be made the day before, and the assembled pizza can rest for 3 hours ahead of baking.
