Instructions
Step 1: Prep and Sauce
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cook the 40 ounces frozen brussels sprouts according to the directions on the box. Drain them well.
- In a large saucepan, melt the 4 tablespoons butter and stir in the 4 tablespoons flour to make a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes until smooth and fragrant.
- Gradually whisk in the 2 cups chicken broth and the 1 cup reconstituted nonfat dry milk. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens and bubbles.
Step 2: Assemble and Bake
- Add the 2 teaspoons paprika, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 cup pimento, and 2.5 pounds cooked chicken to the sauce. Stir until thoroughly combined.
- Arrange the cooked and drained brussels sprouts in a large casserole dish.
