Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream together 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter, 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp sugar, and 2 tbsp chopped pecans.
  3. Pat the mixture into a 9x13-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside to cool completely.

Step 2: Make the Cheese Filling

  1. Beat 8 oz cream cheese and 1/2 cup powdered sugar together until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip 2 packets Dream Whip with 1 cup milk and 1 tsp vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped mixture into the cream cheese mixture until combined, then spread evenly over the cooled crust.

Step 3: Prepare the Strawberry Topping & Chill

  1. Dissolve 1 packet strawberry Jell-O and 1 envelope plain gelatin (previously softened in 1/3 cup cold water) in 1 cup hot water.
  2. Stir in 2 packets frozen strawberries.
  3. When the mixture is partially set and slightly thickened, spread it carefully over the cheese filling.
  4. Refrigerate and chill for at least 8 hours before slicing and serving.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: This dessert must be chilled for at least 8 hours before serving. It can be made up to 24 hours in advance and kept covered in the refrigerator.
