Instructions
Step 1: Cooking the Rice
- Combine 1/2 cup rice and 3 cups hot milk in a double boiler.
- Cook for 2 hours or more until the rice is completely tender and creamy.
Step 2: Flavoring and Cooling
- Stir in 1 tsp salt, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 tsp flavouring.
- Allow the mixture to cool completely.
Step 3: Folding and Serving
- When cold, gently fold in 1 cup whipped cream with 1/4 cup candied cherries cut up in it until fully incorporated.
