Instructions

Step 1: Crust

  1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Grease a 9x13 baking pan.
  3. Combine the 1 1/2 cups flour, 2/3 cup powdered sugar, and 3/4 cup butter or margarine.
  4. Pat dough evenly into the prepared pan.

Step 2: Baking and Topping

  1. Bake for 20 minutes, until slightly golden.
  2. While the crust is baking, whisk together 3 eggs, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, and 1/4 cup lemon juice until frothy.
  3. Pour this lemon mixture over the hot crust.
  4. Return to oven for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until light golden brown and set.
  5. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Dust the top with 1/3 cup powdered sugar before serving.
