Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Base Jello Mixture

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the 2 packages strawberry Jello in the 2 cups boiling water, stirring for 2 minutes until fully dissolved.

Step 2: Combine Fruit and Chill First Layer

  1. Add the 2 packages frozen strawberries to the hot Jello and stir until they are thawed and the mixture is cool.
  2. Stir in the 1 large can crushed pineapple and the 3 bananas.
  3. Pour half of this Jello mixture into a large dish (a 9x13 inch pan works well).
  4. Place the dish in the refrigerator and chill until the layer is firm and set (at least 1-2 hours).

Step 3: Add Cream Layer and Final Chill

  1. Once the first layer is set, carefully spread the 1/2 pint sour cream evenly over the top.
  2. Gently pour the remaining fruit and Jello mixture over the sour cream layer.
  3. Return to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 more hours, or overnight, until the entire salad is completely firm and set.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Do not freeze.
