Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 cup granulated sugar. Add 1 cup softened butter and 1 cup cooking oil, mixing until fluffy.
- Beat in 2 large eggs one at a time.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 4 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar.
- Stir 1 teaspoon almond extract into the wet ingredients, then gradually add the dry mixture until a soft dough forms.
Step 2: Chill and Bake
- Cover and chill the dough for at least 2 hours until firm.
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll dough into small balls and coat in the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
