2 (8-oz) cansCrescent Rollsrefrigerated dinner rolls
3 TbspButteror margarine, softened
1/4 CupSugarnone
2 tspCinnamonnone

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Caramel Base

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Place 5 Tbsp of margarine (or butter) in a 13x9 inch baking pan and put it in the oven for a few minutes to melt.
  2. Remove the pan from the oven. Stir the 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup water into the melted margarine until combined. Sprinkle the 1/2 cup chopped pecans evenly over the mixture.

Step 2: Assemble the Rolls

  1. In a small bowl, combine the 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon for the filling.
  2. Open both cans of crescent dough. Separate the 2 cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls into 8 rectangles, pressing the diagonal perforations to seal them.
  3. Spread the 3 Tbsp softened butter (or margarine) evenly over the 8 dough rectangles. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the butter.
  4. Starting from the shortest side of each rectangle, roll it up tightly into a log, creating 8 short logs. Cut each log into 4 equal pieces, making 32 small rolls.

Step 3: Bake and Serve

  1. Place the 32 small rolls cut-side down into the prepared pan on top of the caramel-pecan mixture.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Immediately invert the hot pan onto a large serving platter. Scrape any remaining caramel and pecans from the pan onto the rolls. Serve warm.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Best served warm immediately after baking to ensure the caramel coats the rolls properly.
