Instructions

Step 1: Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and flour an 8x8 or 9x9 inch square baking pan.

Step 2: Mixing

  1. In a small bowl, sift together the 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/8 teaspoon salt.
  2. In a larger bowl, beat the 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, and 2 eggs together until well combined.

  4. Fold in the 1 cup chopped nuts and 1 cup chopped dates.

Step 3: Baking and Cooling
