Instructions

Step 1: Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a 9x9 inch square baking pan.

Step 2: Mixing the Batter

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp margarine, 1 cup sugar, and 6 tbsp cocoa powder. Stir until well combined.
  2. Beat in the 2 eggs, one at a time.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the 3/4 cup flour, pinch salt, and 1/2 tsp baking powder.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir with a spatula until just combined; do not overmix.

Step 3: Bake and Cool

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  2. Bake for 30 minutes. The brownies are done when a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
