Bar-B-Qued Pecans Preparation
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, combine 2 Tbsp melted butter, 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce, 1 Tbsp catsup, and 1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce.
- Stir in 4 cups pecan halves until they are well coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Spread the pecans in a single layer in a shallow baking pan.
- Bake at 300°F for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to prevent burning. They should be fragrant and toasted.
- Transfer the baked pecans to paper towels to drain, and sprinkle with salt if desired.

- Grate 1 lb cheddar cheese and 1 lb Monterey Jack cheese directly into a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Add 3 dashes Tabasco sauce, 8 chopped jalapeño peppers, and 1 can chopped green chilies to the cheese.
- In a separate bowl, whisk 12 well beaten eggs with 1/2 cup pancake mix until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture over the cheese and mix well to distribute the ingredients evenly.
- Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes until the center is set and the top is lightly golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then cut into 1-inch squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
