Mix the Cheese Base

  2. In a large bowl, combine the 4 (3 oz) packages cream cheese, 2 (5 oz) jars processed cheddar cheese spread, 6 oz sharp cheddar cheese, 1 tsp grated onion, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, and optional 1 tsp MSG.
  3. Using an electric mixer or sturdy spoon, beat the mixture thoroughly until completely smooth, uniform, and creamy.
  4. Fold in 1/2 cup ground pecans until evenly distributed throughout the cheese base.

  1. Gather the cheese mixture and shape it into a neat, smooth ball.
  2. Transfer the cheese ball into a bowl lined with wax paper or foil, wrapping it securely.
  3. Refrigerate overnight, or for at least 8 hours, until firm enough to hold its shape easily.

Coat & Serve

  1. About 1 hour before serving, combine the remaining 1/2 cup ground pecans and 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh parsley on a shallow plate.
  2. Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and roll it gently over the pecans and parsley mixture until completely and evenly coated.
  3. Transfer to a serving platter and serve chilled alongside crisp crackers, croutons, or sliced baguette.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: The cheese ball can be shaped and chilled up to 2 days in advance. For optimal texture and appearance, roll in the fresh parsley and pecan coating 1 hour before serving.
