A versatile wild rice side dish that can be prepared on the stovetop or baked into a firm casserole with gourmet add-ins like mushrooms, sausage, and toasted nuts.
Cook the 6 oz. Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice according to package directions in a saucepan until tender.
About 5 minutes before the end of cooking, fold in your choice of gourmet add-ins such as Mushrooms, Nuts, Parsley, or Wine to taste.
Continue cooking for the final 5 minutes until hot and fragrant, then serve immediately.
Baked “Firm Set” Dressing Variation
Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a casserole dish.
Cook the 6 oz. Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice and desired add-ins using the stovetop method until tender.
Remove the cooked rice from the heat and gently fold in 1 Egg (beaten) until thoroughly combined.
Pour the mixture evenly into the greased casserole dish.
Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes until set and golden on top.
💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Assemble the baked version ahead of time in the casserole dish, cover tightly, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
