Instructions
Step 1: Rice Preparation & Chilling
- Cook the 1 pkg long grain and wild rice mix according to package directions, omitting any butter.
- Turn the cooked rice into a shallow metal pan.
- Toss the rice with 1/4 cup bottled herb and garlic salad dressing (half of the total amount).
- Place in the freezer to chill quickly for 30 minutes until cold.
Step 2: Assembly & Serving
- Add the remaining 1/4 cup bottled herb and garlic salad dressing, 1 cup chopped celery, and 1/4 cup sliced green onion to the chilled rice.
- Toss until well blended and evenly coated.
- Serve on a bed of crisp lettuce and garnish with tomato wedges.
