Instructions

Assembly

  1. Fill half of a long Pyrex bowl with the chopped lettuce.
  2. Add the next ingredients in even layers over the lettuce: 1/2 cup chopped celery, 1/2 cup chopped red onion, 1/2 cup chopped green pepper, and 1 can drained peas.
  3. Spread 1 pt. mayonnaise evenly over the top layer of peas, sealing it to the edges of the bowl to lock in freshness.
  4. Sprinkle 2 tbsp sugar evenly over the mayonnaise layer, then sprinkle with 1 small jar grated parmesan cheese.
  5. Top the salad with crumbled bacon or Bac’Os.
  6. Cover tightly and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to become thoroughly chilled before serving.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: This salad is best made 8 to 24 hours in advance. Keep covered and refrigerated until ready to serve.
