Instructions

Step 1: Layering and Salting

  1. Salt the layers of Cabbage as you chop it, using quite a bit of Salt.
  2. Top the cabbage with a layer of Onions, more Salt, and Green Peppers.

Step 2: Dressing and Marinating

  1. Stir in the ½ cup Oil and ½ cup Vinegar, ensuring a half oil and half vinegar ratio.
  2. Leave the mixture out of the refrigerator, tossing and stirring several times until flavors meld before placing it into the refrigerator.
  3. If the salad becomes too sour, add a splash of water and stir until balanced.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Store sealed in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, tossing occasionally before serving.
