Instructions

Cooking and Sealing

  1. Combine 3 cups crushed raspberries and 3 cups pitted sweet cherries in a preserving kettle.
  2. Add 1/2 cup water and 2 tbsp lemon juice to the kettle.
  3. Cook the mixture until the cherry skins are tender.
  4. Stir in 5 cups sugar and continue to cook until the mixture thickens to a jam consistency.
  5. Pour the hot jam into hot sterilized glasses and seal the tops with hot melted paraffin.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Store sealed glasses in a cool, dark place for up to one year.
