Instructions

Step 1: Prep and Mix

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the 3 packages frozen shrimp, 3 packages frozen crab meat, 2 finely chopped green peppers, 1 medium finely chopped onion, and 2 cups chopped celery.
  3. Season the mixture with 1 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper, then mix thoroughly with the 2 cups mayonnaise until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the seafood mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.

Step 2: Top and Bake

  1. In a separate bowl, toss the 1 1/2 to 2 cups croutons in the 2 tbsp melted butter until well coated.
  2. Scatter the buttered croutons evenly over the top of the shrimp dish.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until the casserole is hot and bubbling around the edges, and the croutons are beautifully golden brown and toasted.
