Instructions

Step 1: Browning and Simmering

  1. Brown 2 # steak cut in strips 1/3 at a time in a skillet. Season with 1/8 t pepper, remove from skillet, and keep warm.
  2. Cook 2 onions, sliced and 3 oz. canned sliced mushrooms, undrained for 3-4 minutes until tender, then push to the side.
  3. Blend 2 T flour and 1/2 t paprika in the pan.
  4. Add 12 oz beer and 1 t worcestershire, and cook until thickened and bubbly.
  5. Return beef to the pan and stir.

Step 2: Finishing

  1. Stir in 1 c sour cream, cook until heated through and bubbling gently.
  2. Serve over hot, buttered noodles.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: The beef and sauce mixture can be prepared ahead of time, but add the sour cream just before heating through to prevent curdling.
