Instructions
Step 1: Brown the Beef and Simmer Sauce
- In a skillet, brown the 1 pound ground beef; drain off fat.
- Add the 1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard.
- Stir well, breaking up large pieces of tomato.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
- Boil gently, uncovered, until thick and reduced, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: Assemble and Serve
- Spoon the hot meat mixture onto the 8 hamburger buns, split & toasted.
