Instructions
Step 1: Prep and Layer
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Generously butter an 8x11 inch baking dish.
- Lightly spread the 1/2 pound ground beef in the bottom of the prepared dish.
Step 2: Season and Add Fries
- In a small bowl, combine the 1 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon all-purpose seasoning. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the ground beef.
- Layer the 1 pound package frozen French fries on top of the seasoned meat. (If using, add optional onions and peas here).
Step 3: Mix Sauce and Bake
- In a separate bowl, blend the 2 cans cream of mushroom soup and 2/3 can milk until smooth. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the top of the French fries.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly, golden brown, and the beef is cooked through.
