Instructions

Step 1: Prep and Season

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Place 1/2 cup margarine and 1/2 cup oil into a baking dish and place it in the hot oven until melted.
  3. Sprinkle all sides of the 1 whole chicken pieces with salt, pepper, rosemary, oregano, and garlic salt to taste.

Step 2: Coat and Bake

  1. Place Bisquick baking mix inside a bag, add the seasoned chicken, and shake to coat evenly.
  2. Place the coated chicken pieces into the hot baking dish with the melted 1/2 cup margarine and 1/2 cup oil, skin-side down.
  3. Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes.

Step 3: Finish and Serve

  1. Turn the chicken pieces over so they are skin-side up.
  2. Continue to bake for another 30 minutes, or until the chicken is tender, cooked through, and golden brown.
  3. If the chicken is browning too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil for the remainder of the cooking time.
