Instructions

Step 1: Form the Meatballs

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine 1 pound of Ground Beef, 1/3 cup of Bread Crumbs, 2 tablespoons of Onion, 1 teaspoon of Salt, 3/4 teaspoon of Pepper, 1 Egg, and 1/4 cup of the Campbell’s Tomato Soup.
  3. Shape the mixture firmly into uniform 1-inch meatballs until all mixture is used.

Step 2: Brown and Bake

  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of Shortening over medium heat and brown the Ground Beef meatballs on all sides until nicely seared and golden brown.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining Campbell’s Tomato Soup, 1 teaspoon of Chili Powder, and 1/4 cup of Water to create a smooth sauce.
  3. Pour the chili-tomato sauce evenly over the browned meatballs in the skillet.
  4. Cover the skillet or transfer to a baking dish, and bake in the 350°F oven for about 30 minutes until bubbling, thickened, and cooked through.
