Instructions
Step 1: Prep and Brown the Steaks
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a skillet, brown the 2 large seasoned steaks on both sides in 1 tablespoon cooking oil until golden brown.
Step 2: Assemble and Bake
- In a small bowl, combine the 1 (6 ounce) can corn, 2 heaping tablespoons green chili, and half of the 1 cup grated jack cheese or cheddar cheese.
- Spoon half of this corn mixture into the center of each browned steak.
- Fold or roll the steaks and secure them with a toothpick or two.
- Place the steak rolls in a baking dish.
- Cover the rolls with the 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown and fragrant.
