Instructions

Step 1: Prep and Brown the Steaks

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a skillet, brown the 2 large seasoned steaks on both sides in 1 tablespoon cooking oil until golden brown.

Step 2: Assemble and Bake

  1. In a small bowl, combine the 1 (6 ounce) can corn, 2 heaping tablespoons green chili, and half of the 1 cup grated jack cheese or cheddar cheese.
  2. Spoon half of this corn mixture into the center of each browned steak.
  3. Fold or roll the steaks and secure them with a toothpick or two.
  4. Place the steak rolls in a baking dish.
  5. Cover the rolls with the 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown and fragrant.
