Instructions

Step 1: Prep and Cook Base

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a casserole dish.
  2. Cook the 1/2 pkg. spaghetti according to package directions. Drain well.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the 1 medium size onion (chopped) and 1 lb. ground meat. Drain any excess fat until the meat is fully cooked and the onions are translucent.
  4. Stir the 1 can mushroom soup into the meat mixture. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste until well combined.

Step 2: Assemble and Bake

  1. In the prepared casserole dish, spread a layer of the meat mixture, top with a layer of cooked spaghetti, then a layer of 2 cups grated cheese.
  2. Repeat the layers, ending with a final layer of cheese on top.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Assemble the casserole ahead of time and store covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking, adding a few extra minutes to the bake time if cold.
