Instructions
Preparation and Mixing
- Shell the 1 lb. almonds or pecans yourself.
- Soften the 1 stick butter while grinding the 1 pkg (8 oz.) chocolate bits and shelled 1 lb. almonds together.
- Add the 1 lb. confectioners’ sugar and 1/3 cup or so rum to a consistency to mold into balls until it holds together nicely.
Rolling and Storing
- Roll the molded mixture in more powdered sugar and let dry.
- Store in the fridge where they will keep for a long time; do not let them sit long in the heat!
💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: They will keep for a year or so in the fridge, tasting even better as they mature.
