Instructions

Step 1: Prep and Mix Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350° and prepare two 8-inch pans.
  2. Combine 2 1/4 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups shortening, 1 1/2 cups white sugar, 2 eggs, 2 oz red food coloring, 1 tbsp vanilla, 2 tbsp cocoa, and 1 tsp salt.
