Instructions

Step 1: Preparation

  1. Separate the 4 eggs, setting the egg whites aside in a clean bowl.
  2. Mix together the remaining ingredients: 2 cups sugar, 1 cup pecans, 3 tsp vinegar, 1 tsp cloves, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 cup butter, 1 1/2 tbsp flour, and 1 cup raisins along with the egg yolks.

Step 2: Meringue and Baking

  1. Beat the set-aside 4 egg whites until they are stiff.
  2. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture.
  3. Pour the filling into the 2 pie shells.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 45 minutes until set and golden brown.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Bake completely and store at room temperature for a day, or cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
