Instructions
Preparation and Molding
- In a mixing bowl, combine the 1/2 cup margarine, 1 lb powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp mint flavoring, and 1 to 2 tbsp warm water until a smooth dough forms.
- Add a drop of food coloring if desired to achieve your preferred shade.
- Form the mixture into balls about the size of a walnut, then roll each in additional powdered sugar.
- Press the balls into candy molds, pop them out, and place on a tray.
- Let the mints stand for 48 hours until they are firm and set.
