Instructions

Preparation and Molding

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the 1/2 cup margarine, 1 lb powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp mint flavoring, and 1 to 2 tbsp warm water until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Add a drop of food coloring if desired to achieve your preferred shade.
  3. Form the mixture into balls about the size of a walnut, then roll each in additional powdered sugar.
  4. Press the balls into candy molds, pop them out, and place on a tray.
  5. Let the mints stand for 48 hours until they are firm and set.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: These mints must be made at least 48 hours in advance to allow them to set properly. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
