Instructions

Step 1: Mixing and Baking

  1. Combine the 1 1/2 tsp vinegar, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup butter, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1 tsp lemon peel in a mixing bowl.
  2. Stir in the 1 3/4 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp soda, and 1/4 tsp salt until a dough forms.
  3. Drop the batter from a spoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 to 14 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.

Step 2: Glazing

  1. Mix together the 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup lemon juice to make the glaze.
