Instructions
Step 1: Batter Preparation
- Sift together the 3 cups sifted flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp soda, and 1 tsp cinnamon.
- Add 1 1/4 c. cooking oil and 2 tsp vanilla to the dry mixture and beat until it forms a smooth batter.
- In a separate bowl, beat the 2 eggs until foamy, then gradually add 2 c. sugar until well blended.
- Fold the egg mixture thoroughly into the flour batter, then gently fold in 1/4 c. pecans and 3 c. chopped cooking apples.
Step 2: Baking
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
