Instructions

Step 1: Prep and Mix

  1. Melt 1 1/2 squares chocolate and 3 tbsp butter together, then place in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup milk to the bowl.
  3. Sift 1 cup flour and 2 tsp baking powder together 3 times, then add to the mixture.
  4. Add 2 to 3 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
  5. Beat all ingredients together thoroughly until the batter is completely smooth and looks like whipped cream.

Step 2: Bake

  1. Pour the batter into a greased oblong baking pan.
  2. Bake in a preheated 325°F oven for 40 minutes.
  3. Do not open the oven door during baking to ensure the cake rises perfectly and remains very light and tasty.
