Instructions

Step 1: Baking the Crust

  1. Melt the 1/2 cup butter or margarine.
  2. Mix together 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly on a greased cookie sheet.
  4. Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes until golden and fragrant, then chop into small pieces.

Step 2: Assembling and Freezing

  1. Spread half of the baked crumb mixture on the bottom of a 9”x13” pan.
  2. Spread 1/2 gallon ice cream on top of the mixture.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top of the ice cream.
  4. Drizzle 8 oz caramel ice cream topping over the top.
  5. Place in the freezer until firm and ready to serve.
