Instructions

For the Crust

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, cream the 1/2 cup butter or margarine and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Add the 1 cup flour and 1/2 cup chopped nuts and mix until a crumbly dough forms.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan. Prick the crust with a fork.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown and fragrant. Let the crust cool completely.

For the Filling

  1. In a chilled bowl, whip the 1 pint (2 cups) heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a separate large bowl, blend the softened 8 ounces cream cheese, 3/4 cup powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until no streaks remain.
  4. Pour the filling into the cooled shell and spread evenly.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until the pie is firm and set, before serving.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Store sealed in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add desired fruit or chocolate toppings just before serving.
