Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Base

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the 2 packages (3 oz each) strawberry jello in 1 cup boiling water, stirring for 2 minutes until fully dissolved.
  2. Stir in the 1 large can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, 3 mashed bananas, 1 cup chopped nuts, and 2 packages (10 oz each) frozen strawberries until well combined.

Step 2: Layer and Chill

  1. Pour half of the fruit mixture into a 9x13 inch pan and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until the layer is firm to the touch.
  2. Carefully spread the 1 pint sour cream evenly over the set layer.
  3. Gently pour the remaining fruit mixture over the sour cream layer.
  4. Return to the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until the entire salad is completely firm and set.
