Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Crust
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 13x9x2 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 2 cups oats, 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp salt.
- Stir in 1 cup margarine and 1 egg until the mixture is crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the pan and bake for 10 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare Caramel and Assemble
- Melt 14 oz caramel candies with 1/3 cup milk in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
- Remove crust from oven; sprinkle with 6 oz chocolate chips and 1 cup walnuts.
- Drizzle the caramel mixture over the top and sprinkle with the remaining crumbly oat mixture.
Step 3: Final Bake
