Step 1: Preparation

- In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the 2 cups sugar, 2 cups light brown sugar, 3/4 cup milk, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Once at a rolling boil, continue to boil for exactly 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3: Combine and Set
- Immediately remove the pan from the heat and pour the hot syrup over the peanut butter mixture in the bowl.
