Instructions

Step 1: Melt the Base

  1. In the top of a double boiler, combine the 25 large marshmallows, 6 Hershey bars, and 1/2 cup milk. Heat gently, stirring frequently, until completely melted, smooth, and combined.

Step 2: Cool Completely

  1. Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool completely to room temperature until it reaches a lukewarm, set consistency.

Step 3: Whip the Cream

  1. In a separate, chilled bowl, whip the 1/2 pint (1 cup) heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form and hold their shape.

Step 4: Fold and Assemble

  1. Gently fold the cooled chocolate-marshmallow mixture into the whipped cream until no white streaks remain and the texture is uniform.

Step 5: Fill and Chill

  1. Pour the filling into the prepared chocolate or graham cracker crust and spread evenly.
  2. Sprinkle with chopped nuts or grated Hershey bar, if desired.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4-6 hours, or until firm and set, before slicing and serving.
