Ingredients

Instructions

Step 1: Mix Dry Ingredients

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) if pre-baking the shell.
  2. Sift or whisk the 1 ½ cups flour, ¾ tsp salt, and 1 tsp sugar together directly in a 9-inch pie pan until well combined.

Step 2: Combine Liquids

  1. In a small cup, mix the ½ cup vegetable oil and 2 Tbsp milk together.

Step 3: Press and Shape

  1. Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients in the pan.
  2. Mix with a fork until all the flour is moistened and the dough comes together with no dry spots showing.
  3. Using your fingers or the back of a spoon, press the dough evenly and firmly onto the bottom and up the sides of the pan until it forms a uniform crust.
  4. Either fill and bake according to your pie recipe, or prick the crust all over with a fork and pre-bake at 425°F for 15 minutes until golden and set.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: The unbaked pressed crust can be covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before filling and baking.
