Instructions

Step 1: Prep and Layer

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square pan (e.g., 8x8 or 9x9 inch).
  2. Spread the one can cherry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the pan.
  3. Sprinkle the dry 1 1/2 cups white cake mix evenly over the cherry filling.
  4. Sprinkle the 1/2 cup chopped walnuts over the top of the cake mix.

Step 2: Bake

  1. Drizzle the 1 stick melted butter as evenly as possible over the entire surface.
  2. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.
